Idiotic Telugu Electronic Media

The true essence of journalism has always been to bring the truth to the common man. With media coming in, many expected things to be more transparent. However, the arrival of the electronic media has exploited the very purpose of journalism and has redefined it into a proper commercial venture which revolves around making money and keeping the stakeholders happy. The reason for this discussion is due to the latest incidents and the irresponsible stand of the media folks.

The recent engagement ceremony of Ramcharan Tej with Upasana Kamineni was a star studded affair. As expected, the electronic media were thronging the place. Now, this was meant to be an exclusive coverage of the event. And exclusively means only for one channel but ironically, half a dozen channels were busy streaming the event and they called it exclusive. That is wrong. This goes to show that either they don’t know what the meaning of exclusive is or they simply don’t care.

Similarly, the no-confidence motion against the Kiran Kumar Reddy government by the opposition was being covered by the news channels in full swing last night. However, much to the surprise and shock of the viewers, each channel was seen coming up with their own numbers on how many are supporting the no-confidence and how many are not. Toggling between the channels showed the variation in numbers rather significantly.
TRP
While the examples are many, the bottomline looks clear. There is no responsibility for the media channels. For them, true or false don’t matter. What matters is viewers should not leave their channel at any cost and the TRP ratings must be maintained. Atleast, when some news is published in websites, it gives an option for people to decide and validate or report if something is incorrect. Amendments are made promptly but in electronic media, nothing works.

Maybe the event of Charan-Upasana engagement can be considered as not important but there are some serious issues the state is grappling with right now. If the news channels keep working as per their whims and behave irresponsibly by treating media as a business then the consequences would be severe for the society.

Gopi-the Mogudu to be

After the likes of Jr NTR, Allu Arjun and with Ramcharan on the way, another name is joining the club of married men in Tollywood. This time, it is the turn of Gopichand. Yes, news is that the aggressive star has been hitched and the girl in his life happens to be one Haritha.

Sources say Haritha is a management graduate who hails from a business family in Hyderabad. She pursued her Masters in Australia. Buzz is that this is a total arranged marriage and recently, Gopi went to the ‘Pellichupulu’ and it was an instant liking.

With both sides agreeing to the terms and conditions, the wedding is scheduled during early 2012.
It is heard that Haritha has no connection whatsoever with the film industry and after going across profiles of few producers’ daughters, Gopichand agreed to this and everything happened in a jiffy. Here’s wishing the aggressive star and his would-be a very happy life ahead.

Renu is the root cause for Mega problem

Till recently, there was a lot of talk going on about Pawan Kalyan and his tiff with the mega family. However, curtains dropped on that as Pawan was seen driving the would-be groom Ramcharan to the venue for his engagement and that too in his brand new Mercedes SUV.

While that is appreciable, another talk has begun to make rounds. This has to do with Ramcharan’s ‘Pinni’ ie Renu Desai. Well, the big question among many is why Renu Desai didn’t come to Ramcharan’s engagement?? Just recently, there was also a buzz about troubles in Pawan-Renu’s relationship. And those rumors were quashed eventually.

But according to sources, Renu Desai went to Ram Charan's house to wish him for getting engaged but didn't attend the function. No one knows the reason for that.

Cherry gets engaged to Upasana

The engagement of Ram Charan Tej and Upasana at Temple Trees, a farm house in Moinabad, witnessed a confluence of celebrities from political, film and corporate world.
The meticulously planned ceremony went off smoothly as invitees were only family, friends, colleagues and VIPs. Restricted admission meant that fans had no chance to witness the colorful event or create hulchul.
The event is easily the most well-organized compared to many recent ‘filmy’ engagements, probably because it was organized the Apollo family. The corporate feel was evident throughout.
Lot of cultural programs, mostly classical, were presented to the audience. The celebrities who attended include CM Kiran Kumar Reddy, Chandrababu Naidu, several Ministers including Botsa Satyanarayana, Sabitha Indra Reddy, Madhu Yaski from the political class, ANR, Balakrishna, Nagarjuna, Venkatesh, Ramanaidu, NTR, Srikanth, VV Vinayak, Rajamouli, Keeravani, Brahmanandam, Trisha, Shriya, Rana, Naga Chaitanya from the film fraternity, Grandhi Mallikharjuna Rao (GMR), GV Krishna Reddy (GVK), Subbirami Reddy from the corporate world and Mrs and Mr Kiran of Eenadu and Radhakrishna of Andhra Jyothy from the media.
While most of the politicos seemed to dominate the proceedings sitting in the VIP front rows, the invitees from the film world seemed to a little lost without even seats to comfortably settle down. When Chandrababu and Balakrishna arrived a little late, a sofa had to be arranged in front of the VIP row.
The highlight of the engagement is Pawan Kalyan bringing Ram Charan, driving him all the way from their residence to the venue at Moinabad. Pawan brought Ram Charan in his latest SUV the Mercedes-Benz G-55, costing nearly a crore and a half.
Pawan chaperoning Ram Charan also assumes significance in the aftermath of speculation over the rift among Chiru brothers.
It may be recalled that the Chiru family members were conspicuous by their absence in the audio function of Panjaa, which led to rumours that the brothers had differences. However, the latest gesture of Pawan served to scoff such gossip.

Here are some clips of the grand gala function that took place

Will Pawan attend Charan's engagement??

One of the most talked about and much awaited events of the season is the engagement ceremony of Ramcharan Tej with Upasana Kamineni. While the arrangements are happening in full swing, many are trying their best to be part of it. However, there is another important thing under discussion about this event.

It is about Pawan Kalyan and will he come to the engagement. Ever since the incident of mega family absence at ‘Panjaa’ audio function happened, it became a hot topic. Though folks like Allu Arjun and Naga Babu reiterated they are all one some are still not convinced.

They are saying “We will know the real truth now. If Pawan Kalyan comes then okay but if he doesn’t come by any chance, even if he has a genuine reason no one will be ready to believe.” On the other hand, the mega fans are also very enthusiastic to see what happens. From our end, we wish Pawan comes and makes it a happy occasion altogether.
